MS Sql Server
Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database server, developed by Microsoft: It is a software product whose primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications, be it those on the same computer and those running on another computer across a network (including the Internet). There are at least a dozen of different editions of Microsoft SQL Server aimed for different audience and workloads (ranged from small application that store and retrieve small amounts of data on the same computer, to millions of users and computers which access huge amounts of data across the Internet from the database all at the same time).
True to its namesake, Microsoft SQL Server's primary query languages are T-SQL and ANSI SQL. In DIMA, We use SQL server 2008. This is the latest version, includes enhanced XML support, integration of .NET Framework objects in databases, improved integration with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office System, as well as improved analysis, reporting, and data integration services.
